Like a Pyramid of Fire (WNS2)

“WNS transcend their opiated roar and blissed-out walls of sound" (Artrocker).

Diving deeper into uncharted sonic territory - summoning the auras of shoegaze and kosmiche, Weatherall and acid house - White Noise Sound (WNS) returned in 2015 with their second album, 'Like a Pyramid of Fire (WNS2)'.

Recorded in South Wales and Northern Ireland, the band rekindled their creative bond with luminary Cian Ciarán (Super Furry Animals / Das Koolies) and, this time, collaborated with Belfast’s techno shapeshifter Phil Kieran.  The result is an evolution of the band’s esoteric dreamscape: folding mind-stretching walls of distortion, widescreen oscillating drones and strung-out psychedelic grooves, with wide-eyed repetitive beats, Detroit-infused hypnotic loops and chakra-targeting invocations.

Championed by psychedelic icons and electronic visionaries alike - from Anton Newcombe (The Brian Jonestown Massacre) to Andrew Weatherall - the album also received high praise and heavy rotation at BBC Radio from Lauren Laverne, Steve Lamacq, Gideon Coe and Tom Robinson.

WNS2 weaves the raw energy of the band's cult debut with the immersive exploration of their later collaborative work, stretching the boundaries of modern psychedelia:

    Elemental. Arcane. Transcendent.

    An unbounded, chimeric wall-of-sound.
